Our ‘back to basics’ approach incorporates salient features such as: upholding the voice of the customer and the other stakeholders as primary, defining processes end-to-end, measuring what matters, deploying technology as an enabler, creating closed-loop systems, building sustainable capability, commercial sense and managing organisational knowledge. It certainly is not about ‘basic’ because that is when piecemeal solutions are implemented leading to waste, instead our approach is about the fundamentals. We strongly believe that newer and more innovative approaches to doing business and operations are always better served by this solid foundation of basics. We have seen many an initiative withers away after that initial focus due to the lack of sustaining fundamentals.
